Fly Feeding on Flower - Cheilosia

Fly Feeding on Flower - Cheilosia
Near Ruraldale, Upshur County, West Virginia, USA
May 27, 1990
Dark syrphid feeding on pollen. ID comments appreciated.

Cheilosia
Very nice, it looks like a male of CHeilosia. The larvae are living in plants and they are not that common. A picture of the side of the head would help to confirm the identification.
