Great Ash Sphinx Caterpillar - SK - Ceratomia undulosa
Near Pike Lake provincial park outstide Saskatoon. , Saskatoon and Area, Saskatchewan, Canada
July 20, 2011
Going through some more of last years pictures: found this caterpillar out near Pike Lake while trimming some Lilac bushes on a friend's acreage. It was a fairly cool day and this guy was very docile and easy to photograph.

Moved- not chersis
Moved from Great Ash Sphinx.

This is the somewhat similar ash/ lilac feeder Ceratomia undulosa.

Do you happen to know the date last year when it was found? Or at least the month?

Timeline
The picture was taken in July of last year, middle to late in the month, I do not recall the exact day.

Thanks
I changed the date to an estimate so that it shows up in the guide as a July record.

Thank You!
Thanks for dating it and correcting my ID! Cheers and happy hunting!
