This silked-over burrow has a ring of earth around it. After dark, we stopped here again, and the silk was gone. An adult tarantula faced up towards the opening, and I noticed something else moving inside. I was surprised to find several visible baby tarantulas, which sometimes came up close to the entrance. Here are some next to mom's foot.
