Moustached Clubtail - Gomphus adelphus - male

Moustached Clubtail - Gomphus adelphus - Male
east gate, Algonquin Provincial Park, Nipissing, Ontario, Canada
July 15, 2006
on path in woods; species?

Update: Thanks to Cliff for the ID of Gomphus adelphus; title changed from "small-spot clubtail"

Thanks for the ID, Cliff
This species isn't found around my home near the southern tip of Ontario, but is apparently common in Algonquin Park (where I took the photo), according to the distribution map here [Algonquin is located just below the left end of the kilometre scale in the picture].

Image moved from Clubtails to G. adelphus page, and some info added to the Guide.

No problem
Nice shot by the way.

One of the Hylogomphus
And judging from your location, I would say Gomphus adelphus (Mustached Clubtail).
