Spider - Araneus marmoreus
Deer River, Itasca County, Minnesota, USA
August 26, 2012
Size: About 3/4" body
This spider was found on my friends Pontoon on Sand lake. The picture shows it in a bracket of the awning of the boat. It was there all weekend but this is the best picture I could get. Can anyone help identify it?

Family Araneidae. Looks like this might be Araneus marmoreus, which is quite variable. Let's see what others think.
