Spider ID plus what is it's creation? -
Metepeira labyrinthea
near Sardinia, Brown County, Ohio, USA

Spider and it's creation were in shrub underbrush. Spider is at bottom and are those egg cases stacked?

Metepeira labyrinthea?
I think the spider is Metepeira labyrinthea based on range. She's got a very impressive tower of egg sacs there!

They do look like egg sacs don't they
This is the Labyrinth but we don't know what they use to make their hide there in the middle. Is it egg sacs or old meals or a combination of both???

Eggs
Oops, didn't realize I wasn't alone here. :D Based on comments I've read so far (there's some on the series I linked to) I think they are egg sacs.
