Pepsis pallidolimbata - female

Pepsis pallidolimbata - Female
Riverside County, California, USA
June 20, 2006
Size: 37 mm
This specimen was made available to me by Will Ericson. Compare this species with the very similar P. thisbe. That species has a dark submarginal band basal to the hyaline edge of the wing. Notice in this specimen that there is no submarginal band.
