P. cardinalis ID confirmation - Phidippus cardinalis

P. cardinalis ID confirmation - Phidippus cardinalis
Seminole, Seminole County, Oklahoma, USA
September 6, 2012
I read that P. apacheanus has bright green chelcirae, and I'm pretty sure from this shot this individual does not. Does anyone have thoughts? Thank you!

Chelicerae
I think you're probably right, though I'm no jumper expert. Kevin Pfeiffer mentions the lack of green chelicerae in males of P. cardinalis in a comment on this page, from Edwards 2004. I don't have access to the paper so I'm not sure if it also applies to females, but this one looks male to me.

Thank you...
I'll see if anyone else has any thoughts as well. Man, I butchered chelicerae up there didn't I... sheesh.
