Not a termite, but much better!
Moved from ID Request.

WOW ...
!

Merope tuber
That is awesome, thank you! So last night I noticed that my little Yorkie-Poo was interested in one spot and kept going back for another sniff. It took me a while to see this little critter wedged in a crevice between 2 patio blocks and I knew that I have never seen that species before. Anyway, I wonder if these insects are odorous enough for a dog to pick up its scent?

A termite.
Good images.
