Large dragonfly - Spiketail? - Hagenius brevistylus

Large dragonfly - Spiketail? - Hagenius brevistylus
Northeast Park, Gibsonville, Guilford County, North Carolina, USA
September 9, 2012
This was a very large dragonfly found near a river. Unfortunately, this is the only shot I was able to manage through a telephoto lens, it wouldn't let me get any closer. Not sure if this is enough to ID, but my wife and I estimated something like a 5" wingspan (like I said, from a distance, so that is very approximate). I'm guessing maybe a Cordulegastrid, but ID help is appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the quick ID
Wow, record time. Thanks!
