Size: Abt 9mm Estimated
This fly was sitting on the side of a wooden guardrail post in midafternoon. It flew away before I could get a better shot. Is an ID possible?

Hello, Chen. Indeed, you are right: this is a Medetera specimen (subfamily Medeterinae)
