Grasshopper with orange wings - Hippiscus ocelote - female

Grasshopper with orange wings - Hippiscus ocelote - Female
Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, USA
September 25, 2012

a female of Hippiscus ocelote
The wings are folded improperly, with the hind wings on top of the front wings, which means you can see the hind wings where usually you wouldn't be able to. Odds are she got them straightened out in short order, though it looks like she might be a little bit crunched (?).
