If you

get out after the monsoons (assuming we get them this year) I'm sure you'll get one Margarethe. If I find another, I'll record some utms and let you know.

Agaeocera scintillans Waterhouse

I thought that this was an Agaeocera but I was not sure of the species. I also sent this pic along to Rick Westcott and he IDed it has Agaeocera scintillans Waterhouse. I think there is only 3 species in this genus and 2 occur in the US. I have the Agaeocera gentilis (Horn), I'll have to post a pic of it to go along with this species.
Another definite new genus of buprestid for the guide. Great spot on this guy.

Buprestid

Most definitly a buprestid but I am not 100% sure to which one. Sure is a nice one though.
