Explanation of Names
scapularis was originally Latin for "of or belonging to the shoulder blades", but later acquired the meaning of "a short cloak, covering for the shoulders". It's unclear which meaning (if either) applies here
Life Cycle
Larvae feed on elm, Ulmus, species.
