Phantom Midge? - Chaoborus punctipennis

Phantom Midge? - Chaoborus punctipennis
Montrose, Laurens County, Georgia, USA
April 25, 2012
Size: about 15 mm overall lengt
Found on back porch late-night. This is a new bunch for me and I am really not sure I have it right. Despite their common-as-dirt availability to photograph, they are quite difficult to get a decent image of for a myriad of reasons. As well, these come in a small variety of coloration and size. I don't know what that siginifies, but I will post other images like these as I come across them. Going strictly by size, I am assuming this is an adult....
