UID Species - Amyelois transitella
Camp Wood, Edwards County, Texas, USA
September 9, 2012
After Maury Heiman gave a tentative ID as Alpheioides parvulalis Hodges 5649, I went to MPG to look at their images and to the ones at Bug Guide. I noticed the "standing" picture from Austin. I remembered photographing a "standing moth". I had placed it in the file of pictures I had Identified as Anderida sonorella Hodges #5933.

Wow.
This moth is standing on the back of a
"free living hemipteran."
Bizarre.

UID Species
This is NOT the same specimen. It was taken on 9/9/12. I posted it because the tentative ID as Alpheiodies parvulalis of the other specimens would make this specimen also the same species.
