opinion of Shawn Clark:
"Morphologically, the introduced species of
Diorhabda
are identifiable only through detailed examination of the genitalia. However, based on the location of the photographed specimen, it is almost certainly
Diorhabda carinulata
(Desbrochers des Loges)."

I'm not sure how my teacher got to sublineta, but our site is at the upper elevation reaches of tamarix, so I'm sure the northern tamarix beetle makes more sense due to this
