This dragonfly was in New Cumberland PA. very near the Susquehanna river. It was a large dragonfly probably at least 3 inches long. It was resting in the sun on a cool morning in October.

darner
definitely not a Canada darner which would have largish blue spots on the abdomen. It's likely a shadow darner.
