Katydid - Dichopetala brevihastata - male

Katydid - Dichopetala brevihastata - Male
Yetman Trail, Tucson Mts., Pima County, Arizona, USA
August 18, 2006
Another Katydid nymph I think of same sp. and same size as last one posted.

Adult male.
This appears to be an adult male of the common short-winged katydid, Dichopetala brevihastata, the only species in our Tucson area. Nice image. The colors sure beat a dead specimen:-)
