I removed him...
But I did put him back in his pit after I took the shots. And, thanks for the compliment. He was harder to photograph than I expected because he wouldn't sit still, but kept scooting backward all over the place.

Eric says here in
that all the pit antlions are in the genus Myrmeleon, so we will move these to the genus page.
