I know you have a picture of an ant lion, but thought you might want another. They looked a little different. If you don't need it, please send it to frass.

one of the doodlebug pits? or did you find it at the surface? or...?? What a nice shot!

I removed him...
But I did put him back in his pit after I took the shots. And, thanks for the compliment. He was harder to photograph than I expected because he wouldn't sit still, but kept scooting backward all over the place.

Eric says here in
that all the pit antlions are in the genus Myrmeleon, so we will move these to the genus page.
