Need help posting photo

Help! I have a biology project and I need to identify my insect, but each time I try to upload my photo it tells me it is not a jpeg image, but I know it is a jpeg, I checked it 3 times, how do I post my photo?

Welcome to BugGuide! I am sorry to see that you are having problems posting. Feel free to email the images to me and I will try to post them for you or help you figure out what might be wrong.

(of course that is @ and . but this helps keep the email harvesters from picking it up and spamming me :)
