Small wasp -
Ooctonus
Sitka County, Alaska, USA
October 27, 2012
Size: ~1mm
Was relaxing in the sun and noticed this crawling on me. I assume it's parasitic, but I'm not sure what it might finding this time of year.

Mymarid femaleā¦
Nice images. You can see the spatulate hind wing as well. They are egg parasitoids of various insect groups. It's amazing to me that you even noticed something that small crawling on you.
See reference

Thanks!
I noticed the movement on my dark colored jacket. It helped that I had seen a leaf-hopper (somewhat larger) a little while before and had been bummed that I missed out on catching it.

re: Leafhoppers...
Leafhoppers and planthoppers are the principal targets of these wasps, but they attack other groups as well.
