Ophion Wasp? - Female
Port Alberni, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada

Is this clear enough? Best shot we have - fiddled around with it a bit on Photoshop to try to make it clearer. Alternatively, I can e-mail you the full size photo if it's easier for you.

This shows the scutellum to be different than I thought I was seeing. There might be a carina at the apex, but I would need the specimen to decide that, and I presume that you don't have that. Also, the description of fuliginatus doesn't have the light central stripe onthe mesoscutum and doesn't have the propodeum similarly light. Perhaps genus Astiphromma.

Thanks, Bob.
Unfortunately don't have the specimen. Showed up at our porch light a couple of nights ago. If I see one again, I'll keep it!
