Adult - Pero
Alameda County, California, USA
November 2, 2012
Size: 1.7 cm bl, 2.7 cm ws
The moth emerged on November 2nd. It looked much like my previously reared Pero: but with a white spot on each forewing.

The current specimen was reared on Buddleia davidii--quite different from the carrot tops that fed its predecessor. As far as I could tell, it ate only the flowers. During the last few weeks of the larval stage, the buddleias had stopped blooming, and only dried inflorescences were available.
