Q Fly on Rue. There is a small white oblong marking against black each lower lateral area of the last of the abdomen segments.(photo # 3)(seems diangostic)

Eric- thank you for having vetted my submissions and identified the genus, Archytas. I have edited my submission to remove the sex as female.

My submission species appears to me (untrained) as a female, Archytas apicifer,and identical to the, 3/14/2006 submission to BG by Joyce Gross, see link http://bugguide.net/node/view/45504 . I point out the two oblong lateral white markings in the link photo on the last abdomen segments which appear identical to my # 3 image (2012-11-9_9897)
