Crane fly larva ?

Crane fly larva ?
Newark, Delaware, USA
November 10, 2012
This came to the surface of one of my potted plants. The dirt in the pot was taken from outside, about 3 or 4 weeks ago. Only thing I can think of is crane fly?

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

Lawn dirt?
If the dirt came from a lawn, the common species are Nephrotoma ferruginea and the two European Tipula (Tipula).

Yes, actually
Thanks for the help with this guy! I didn't think we would get it narrowed down at all

For what it's worth...
Crane fly would've been my call, too.
