Smeared or Streaked Dagger Moth? - Acronicta oblinita

Smeared or Streaked Dagger Moth? - Acronicta oblinita
Plainsboro, Middlesex County, New Jersey, USA
August 6, 2007
Found in the morning at a light in a condo complex backing up onto to a shallow creek. I believe this moth is an Acronicta sp. The best possibilities I've come up with so far are either Streaked Dagger Moth (A. lithospila) or Smeared Dagger Moth (A. oblinita). ID guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!
