Odd looking Wild Rose Galls - Torymus bedeguaris

Odd looking Wild Rose Galls - Torymus bedeguaris
In Westwood - elevation 5100ft, Lassen County, California, USA
August 31, 2011
I found these odd gall-like growths on a wild rose plant on August 31, 2011. Galls like this can be caused by the cynipid Diplolepis rosae, the Mossy Rose Gall Wasp - see here (1). I clipped the galls them and stored them away in a small bottle, which I forgot about until this November 2012! Within the bottle I found six small wasps which may be viewed in the two additional photos. A confirmation, or otherwise, on what caused these galls is appreciated - thanks!
