Seems like it has to be, but I wouldn't have expected it at this date in Wisconsin. Would there be still clover plants that haven't been killed by frost?

Yes, still lots of green clover - out of curiosity, what kind of adult lifespan would you expect (if freezing to death can be avoided)?

 
Host Availability
The issue is the availability of larvae of the Hypera hosts. I think the principal host for infernalis is Hypera zoilus, which had long been known by the name puncata.
