Eggs, close up - Araneus diadematus

Eggs, close up - Araneus diadematus
Alameda County, California, USA
November 25, 2012
Size: 1.05 mm each
This is part of the surface of the egg mass. Later, to measure the eggs, after many of them had fallen off the egg mass, I used a ruler to push the loose ones together on paper and photographed the ruler's edge up against the eggs. A row of 19 eggs occupied a 2-cm length of the ruler.
