This bug was in the dense riparian forest and brush near the Rio Grande river in extreme South TX.

intriguing; nymphs are poorly understood, but...
...we have someone in Texas who is very, very good in that department.
the head looks asopine, but in nymphs this may be misleading; the leg pattern is distinctive... hope we get some hints soon, but don't hold your breath

Apateticus lineolatus
A rather uncommon predator. These always remind me of Brochymena but are not the same. Note that the leg and antenna markings are the same as adults, and the red on the abdomen edge is there too. You are too complimentary :-)
