Walking Stick - Diapheromera - Female
Reed Turner Woodland, Lake County, Illinois, USA

Size: 8-9 cms
Took close ups of his head and tail hoping that they would help with a possible ID

Female Diapheromera
This is a female of the genus Diapheromera, probably D. femorata, the "northern walkingstick." Compare to the images we have of males! Sexual dimorphism can be extreme in phasmids, especially in the tropical species.
