Size: 3.5 cm (length, approx.)
This larva was eating "Queen of the Prairie" (Filipendula) leaves.

There was a lot of smartweed (Polygonum sp.) around as well.

I don't know enough about moths. Is this picture worth saving? The larvae of this species seem highly variable.
