Found on on the fungus Tricholoma sulphureum. Curious to know what species this is.

Don't know species
Platypeza seems right but I have no idea how to determine species. The reference in Manual of Nearctic Diptera is

Kessel, E. L., and E. A. Maggioncalda. 1968. A revision of the genera of Platypezidae, with the descriptions of five new genera, and considerations ofphylogeny, circumversion, and hypopygia (Diptera). Wasmann J. Biol. 26:33-106.
