Fly - Chrysopilus quadratus - female

Fly - Chrysopilus quadratus - Female
Pine River, Cass County, Minnesota, USA
July 29, 2006
Would anyone know what type of fly this is? Hopefully, the wing markings will help in the ID. Thanks.

Moved
Moved from Snipe Flies.

Chrysopilus quadratus
This is Rhagionidae, Chrysopilus quadratus

Looks like a
Snipe Fly (family Rhagionidae)

Is the thorax and abdomen covered with short yellow/golden hairs? That might make it Chrysopilus thought there are quite a few other possible genera. A from the side including hind leg would help.
