Tachinid fly - Hystricia abrupta

Tachinid fly - Hystricia abrupta
Dixville, Coos County, New Hampshire, USA
August 15, 2006
This one has the tufts of black hairs like a few in this subfamily. Is this one that's already in the guide, or a new one?

Moved
Moved from Tachininae.

New one!
I recognize it, too, but the genus name changed, and now I've forgotten both of them! ARG! I'll figure this out eventually, unless someone else beats me to it. I reared a couple of these once from an arctiid caterpillar in Portland, Oregon.
