Mosquito - Culex territans - male

Mosquito - Culex territans - Male
Springfield, Virginia, USA
September 22, 2004

Male
Well, I can at least tell it is a male, by the feathery antennae:-) Any mosquito experts here that can at least put a genus on it?

I agree that this is a Culex,
I agree that this is a Culex, and because it has apical bands of white on the abdominal tergites, and was found in Virginia, it can only be Cx. territans
