Has stripes on body. Found laying eggs on dead bugs.

If this individual was laying eggs it can be marked female.

 
Well,
there were numerous individuals in the area of the dead bug. Would they all be female?

 
Not necessarily…
I think what John is saying, is that if you noticed this particular bug ovipositing on dead bugs (which some species do), then you can mark it as a female. If unsure, leave as is.
