Widespread in Europe. Introduced to California and northeastern North America.
Season
mid June until September in Europe
Food
larva feed inside the seedheads of tansy (Tanacetum vulgare) or sneezewort (Achillea ptarmica) and pupate inside the stem

Introduced from Europe.
