Unidentified - cerambycid? - Neoclytus caprea
Truth or Consequences, Sierra County, New Mexico, USA
December 16, 2012
Size: about 0.6 - 0.7 inches
This was wriggling around in a hole it had bored in a piece of firewood that came from a hackberry tree in a riparian area in Animas Creek, Sierra County, New Mexico. The wood was sitting in my backyard in Truth or Consequences for several months. Elevation about 4200 feet in T or C, about 4400 ft in Animas Creek where the wood came from.
