six legs confirmed!
I just saw this exact! spider today. Six(6) legs front two buds(like pict), walking normally in my car. Webs in the car as it walked around for the day. First I thought mimic but now I see it is a spider. I don't think it's a leg loss either. The buds looked finished. What are the odds that two of these would have the exact same legs missing? I am in Ontario, not sure where you took those picts. Who's to say that they aren't changing to a 6 legged version now?

Cheers,

Wow, that is interesting.
I had some firsthand evidence that my 6-legged spider wasn't naturally 6-legged — when I released it, it seemed to have a lot of trouble walking upside-down. It was repeatedly falling, pulling its way back up by the thread and attempting the same path again.

I later found an missing-sector orb web with in the spot where I released it, with a signal thread leading to a spider's hiding place. I don't know for sure that it was the same spider; it was intent on hiding in the daytime, and in the nighttime it instantly hid when I shined a light on it.

Did you take any photos of your 6-legger? Did it seem to have any difficulty walking?
