Just curious...
Those are really nice pictures.
Where was it and what plant was it on? I thought they only ate the white fuzzy waxy aphids. I wish they would come eat the milkweed aphids in my garden!

It was on Smilax/Greenbriar
fortunately I noted that on the first image, as there's no way I would remember it almost two years later. : )

And I saw elsewhere that the aphid has an unusual lifecycle, and those are the same as the wooly ones. So cool!
