Can anyone identify this spider? - Hogna carolinensis

Can anyone identify this spider? - Hogna carolinensis
Billings, Yellowstone County, Montana, USA
It is about the size of a 16 year old female's palm. My friend found it in her backyard in June or July around 2010. My cousin said that he thinks it might be a wolf spider (lycosidae), but he's never seen a white version of it before. Any ideas?

Moved
Moved from ID Request. I think this is the species based on what I can see of the black markings on the ventral side in your second image. Next time if someone can catch it in a plastic baggie and take some ventral shots that will help with IDing.

Nice spider!

I took the liberty of linking your images...
...since they depict the same individual.
