Here's a couple more angles of a fly species I photographed a couple weeks ago.

Thanks Eric!!! These were the first of this species I've seen in the northeast, and there were at least 5 of them flying around.

Hystricia abrupta
I'm relatively sure this is Hystricia abrupta. Dr. James O'Hara in Canada would know for certain, and I'm sure he'd like to see these stunning images in any event. Nice work, Tom! Oh, well I'll be...we already have a guide page for this species even:-)
