ant on a leaf - Myrmica

ant on a leaf - Myrmica
Shirley, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA
August 30, 2006
I know the subfamily, but have a hard time going further with these ants.

Moved
Moved from Myrmicinae.

I understand that,,,
Because they are sometimes uneasy to idenitify.
This worker is an especially dark Myrmica sp. I think another worker of the same species has been posted previously. At least these ones cannot be mistaken for M. rubra!
