Ameletidae: Ameletus sp.
Ditto as per the Epeorus. A very pretty mayfly. NOT one of the eastern species. I don't suppose you kept the larva and could send it to me?

Ameletus validus
I believe this is A. validus. Due to intraspecific tergal pattern variability and the large number of species possibilites, ameletids are usually impossible for me to ID to species from photos with any certainty. As luck would have it, Sagehen Creek is arguably the most intensely studied little piece of water on the planet in terms of its fauna, and I believe some of the characters (Zloty & Pritchard '97) differentiating the few reported species (Meyer & McCafferty '08) are discernible in this photo. Namely the tail banding pattern and long posterolateral spines on abdominal segments 8 & 9.
