argiope laid her egg - Argiope aurantia - Female

It gave birth on sept. 1 and seems to have died around 2 days later after guarding that silk bulb fearlessly.

Strange that she would die
but we're also confused by the dates and timing since it's only early morning on Sep 2nd!
