Aggressive girl - Phidippus octopunctatus - Female

Size: about 25mm
Hind end of same spider. The name, octopunctatus, means eight-spotted, but the heavy greyish scaling over the abdomen covers these spots. Unlike other species in this genus, octopunctatus does not have metallic-colored chelicera.
