Small green larva? - Prolimacodes badia

Small green larva? - Prolimacodes badia
Herndon, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
September 4, 2006
Size: 12mm
I spotted this hanging out on my deck railing underneath a birch tree. Never seen anything like it before - I realized after snapping a few shots that it was moving very slowly, so I rolled it over to see its mode of locomotion. It was very sticky on the bottom and didn't have legs, but instead odd bumps. What is this creature???
